What this calculator does
Whether you are tracking work hours, shifts or project time, the duration between two times plus break deduction is a daily calculation. Decimal hours are especially useful for invoicing.
This calculator handles overnight shifts, subtracts breaks and shows the result in hours/minutes and decimal hours.
Duration formula
Net = end time − start time (+24 h if overnight) − break Times are converted to minutes. If the end is earlier than the start, 24 hours are added. Decimal hours equal minutes divided by 60.
